is the head/block apart?...contemplating on the shortblock and want to know if it is in good shape. Just saying this bc of the bad noise, even though you say it is from the head...i want to be sure that the head is the problem and that there isn't any damage to the shortblock itself.

I will be taking the motor out of the car and taking the head off the block later this week.3
