Souix Falls 2-day Auto-X event
-
I will try to keep this up to date with info on going down there.
4am is probably a bit early. its a 4-hour drive tops and thats stoping for gas once. But when ever shane/everybody else leaves is when I am going, lol.
I would probably suggest taking a cooler and drinks with as well as chairs, lol. and leave all no esentials in fargo.

well only 3 of us made the trip. We had a blast $40 to auto-x for 2 days was well worth the money. there was over 50 cars each day. I personally was shocked by the number of cars running slicks/r-comp tires. The course was way longer then the ones we have had here runs were 60+ seconds most cars were 75ish and up.
here are some pics from the event. more can be found on siouxfallsracing.com.

The winged monster

Ethan this one is for you. Yes, they let trucks auto-x

This thing was a machine, some limited edition m3 lightwieght. was way faster then most of the cars, and i think less then a second behind the r1 powered cart. IIRC 4 time national camp for his class.

I thought they had restrictions on trucks running??? Someone at an earlier event in fargo asked if there roomate could run his ford lightning I believe it was and they said they couldn't run any trucks? I think that trucks should be able to run as long as they aren't top heavy live suv's. some trucks are some aren't...There has to be some restrictions right?? Just wondering.... Was the course tight or did it have a lot of straight shots????

What the fuck is that winged thing?
-
i think some trucks are alowed to run, but i have no idea on official regulations. the course had alot of really tight corners that you could go fast around the corner before and then a really sudden sharp. The course IMO was not the greatest. it was like the same course the whole way same type of corners...

hey you didnt get a pic of the roof on that hatch did you?
-
trucks are allowed, as long as they are "sport set up" meaning they are lowered or have a different suspension set up than regular trucks. todd said as long as they didnt have a high center of gravity, they could run. there is a x runner that competes at national levels, and i have seen a std cab dakota r/t run as well.

Wonder if that suzuki was inspired by the Escudo or acid or maybe both.
