I hate to break it to you but this rivalry is not too friendly. Packers fans hate Vikings fans and Vikings fans hate Packers fans. :mad: That's what makes it so fun.
Someone always gets to talk shit and someone always has to listen to it. Also, Brett Favre is a fucking redneck, hillbilly, pain killer addicted, overrated, ass clown.

Seriously I coudnt care less about any personal rivalry on the field. Its football there is always rivalry. I bet you could find that there is always some kind of personal rivalry in any football game, its part of the game. Im talking about a WHOLE Football team against another. I find Green Bay vs Vikes game exeremely fun to watch. In my mind the teams like to play each other because of the rivalry. They have a chance to show up the other team. If they lose do you think they go home and cry about it? No. Do you think they go home and bitch and moan about the loss. No. Its football, you are going to lose. Its just the winning team gets bragging rights. I think us fans blow these "rivalrys" way out of proprotion. Its a fucking game and supossed to be fun. Therefor I can cheer for anyone I please, as long as its fun for me to watch. Anyone who takes a game seriously needs to clam down.

Good you were scaring me. I know some people seriously go off when their team losses etc. Just making sure you woundnt have a heart attack the next time the Vikes lose to the packers. Anyway Go Vikes! Until they probably lose. Then go Packers! Ha!

These are some of the quotes I have heard about Mr. Overrated from some of his foot soldiers at ESPN, Fox, and ABC. I think he has them under a spell or something. Overrated. OK now I'm done web-hating for a while. -

I'll admit, GB will probably lose to MN on xmas. I hope it doesn't happen that way, but I am more of a realist than a dreamer.
As for favre being a gunslinger/trooper/warrior...its hard to argue w/ some of it.
Gunslinger=Almost every receiver that has attempted to catch a pass from him say their hands hurt from it. He throws hard, not many people will argue w/ me on that. (he may have gotten softer in recent years, but from player interviews it doesn't appear to be that way)
Trooper=How many games has he started in a row? I believe (and could be wrong) that his record usually improves when he is injured and has something to prove.
Warrior=Along the same lines as trooper, how many QB's would actually have the balls to get into a rivalry w/ Hovan or any defensive player that is trying to kill him every game?

Seriously, I have heard every single way that a game announcer and Packer fan can possibly think of to praise Favre. I don't need to hear it much more. I am not arguing with some of that stuff. He's done some very, very impressive things. I just think that it is a way too much when the announcers proceed to annoint him as a saint when the Packers are losing by 30 something, when the Packers are on defense, and during nearly every play in every NFL game.
