His name is Paul, he's from Illinois. The car is a 2000 Lexus GS300. It's a 2JZ with a 76mm turbo. I think it's got a TH400 trans. The work was done by Sound Performance in IL. It dyno"d around 900 whp. So far it's gone 11.6. The car is beautiful.

I tried to talk to that guy a little bit about his car, but he was a dick and just said "no questions" and walked away. If you don't want people to ask questions, don't bring a car that nice to the racetrack! You'll never get that from most people out there. I gotta admit that thing was beautiful though, very nicely done.

I was talking to the owner of the vette...anyone remember all of those cars that were auctioned a few months ago that were taken from a drug bust. He got that at the auction for $4100 as is.....talk about right place/right time.

that is a sic car for a sic price.
yes it is an all out drag car. big meats out back skinnies up front. i believe it runs on alcohol or at least nigh octane gas. smelled a wonderful smell to me. then again many of the old muscle smelled good to me.

i thought that car looked familiar...everyone who got one of that guys cars got really lucky..all of them were sold for under 10K and most of them had well over 500hp.

that car was way more the 10s in it. The last time i was there when he was racing he was in the 10-11 range and they were making him shut it down at 1/2 track

He got that vette cheap, but they have had a lot of issues with it. The original engine that was in it blew up, and they've done a ton of work to get it to where it's at now. Still, it's a pretty sweet ride for the $$ they've put into it.

my neighbor got the black vette that was at the auction. i think he paid like 4k-5k. runs on alcohol. said it had slips in it that showed it ran 12s

Myself and Mike from SLS both raced against the guy whose cars were at auctions. What he had was like a whos who of Minot businessman's stuff. I remember dynoing that black vette one year before it had the 502 in it and it only did like 268 HP. He blamed it on our Dyno at roadsounds haha.
