I an constantly getting popups from the goddamned ucleaner.com and udefender.com wedsites as well as a security windoe that says it's detected a virus, trojan.w32.looksky to be exact. I tried spybot, adaware, registry cleaners and have an active firewall and antivirus running, I even went into the registry myself and deleted some of the shit, in safe mode too. I tried some of theseese things after doing a google search but with no success.:icon_scratch: 😕 Have any of you ever had a run in with this stuff ot have any ideas on how to get rid of it? It's really starting to royaly piss me off.😠 😠 <<<Yellow guy = my computer.

housecall.antivirus.com to scan and have them clean it...if that doesn't work, you could try http://www.trendmicro.com/vinfo/virusencyclo/ to see what they recommend.

Thanks, I'll give it a try.
Keep any other ideas coming though just in case.

          reboot in to safemode
          run "msconfig"
          disable all startup items
click on services tab, click "hide all microsoft services"
          disable the remaining services

          open IE
          disable all 3rd party addons

then reboot, run all your utilities

Well, I did both and although the pop ups are less frequent there still there.
I really don't want to reformat if I don't have to.
I have too many goodies I don't want to get rid of.:)

try using windows defender from microsoft. should be a free download.

Defender and Windows Update set to "auto-update" is all I use on my machines.

Do a Panda active scan, then get "Kaspersky Anti Virus" they offer a 30 day trial but this is the best AV program I've found. If Kaspersky doesn't find/delete it then sign up for the forums at forums.techguy.org
