Nuclear Missles - Minot Mistake
-
You guys seriously think this is the first time something like this has happened? Somehow it just made it to the media. It would be pretty difficult for these just to mysteriously end up on that plane and show up down there.. They were to transport the ACM's to LA. without the warhead. The AGM-86 were designed to be deployed off the B-52. You wouldn't believe the security control on these things..
Kristensen said he knew of no other **publicly acknowledged **case of live nuclear weapons being flown on bombers since the late 1960s

Ladoes and Gents I give you the United States Air Force. How dumd can you be?
I'm not sure you should be criticizing, you can't even spell "dumb" properly

LOL!! ^^^^^
While it's a little funny/scary that a nuke can be transported what sounds like "unsupervised", I guess it's not like it would blow up if it fell off the wing and hit the ground somewhere... it would just go thud and make a dent in the ground. Still, someone definitely dropped the ball.

I read some article that said they don't carry live nukes on training missions anymore due to some accidents in europe where the warheads leaked radioactive material out after a crash... but yeah they woudln't explode.

There is a farmer in some southern state that has a nuke in his field due to this exact thing happening...can't remember where though.

The 6 o'clock news said that a commander was fired, but they didn't say exactly who.The article stated that it was the Munitions Squadron commander, and it also said several airmen were decertified, which means they won't be touching any missles for a looooooooooooooong time.
And ammo troops always wonder why nobody likes them. Dumbasses.
