IIRC though they can only follow you for a certain distance or # of turns before it's considered harassment. Obviously if they pull you over beforehand it's not but otherwise it isn't really legal for them to follow you for long periods. It's basically them assuming you will break the law and following you until you do which is illegal. Can't think of the exact legal definition but I know it's true...
And to the people dissing him, you know damn well that the moment a cop pulls behind you that you more than likely drive a LITTLE differently than you normally would. You make extra sure to ALWAYS signal, ALWAYS do the speed limit, etc etc. If they were behind you for an extended period you'd probably start sweating it too, regardless of whether or not you were/are doing something wrong.

lol.
dont worry, im being watched by the Minnesota State Highway Patrol for my tint and stickers on my windows. I was pulled over last friday and given a fix it ticket. I decided to keep the tint just so its hard to see whats in my car for thieves to steal(granted i know that wont go over well next time i get a ticket) but hey, it's an excuse.
BTW why are highway patrolmen pulling me over in city limits for that kind of shit(I thought that was cops territory..shouldnt he be out on the interestate?) He said next time he see's me, and I yet to take off the tint and stickers there'll be trouble(IE him writing me a ticket). Can they legally say that he's gunning particularily for me?

Keep a video cam in your car and as soon as a cop pulls up behind you, turn it on and video tape your driving and them pulling you over. Obviously you should set up some sort of mount so that you don't have to try and hold it as that could cause you to swerve or something.

I had a FPD SUV follow me and peter one night for just over 7miles. And we just started turning here and there to go a differant way to where I was headed. I just don't like being fallowed, closer then you should fallow anyone(a brake check would have had a tahoe up my ass) with what in my opinion was there brights on, and that is if it was a cop, or not. I would have called it in but didn't have a vehicle number.

lol faber, its follow

If i think a cop is following me I pull over and just wait to see what he's doing. I've only had to do this once. Cop followed me into a culdasac and did a really slow roll by. I just looked at him.
I don't like cops fishing for moving violations. If i think that's what they're doing, I'll stop moving and wait for them to go bother someone else.

I feel so much better now. That must mean it never happens, right?
No but it means if you can find a way to prove they were fishing you can get any ticket resulting from it thrown out because it's a direct product of illegally obtained evidence.

Think about it. All you ricers quit crying and take your tint and ricer stickers off that are illegal. if a cop follows me i do the same thing thrash does, just pull over. sometimes they will ask you why you pulled over. I just tell them I felt uncomfortable with you following me. they wil leave you alone as long as you check out. I haven't ever had an asshole cop give me a ticket for a bogus reason, so I guess my opinion is biased(or unbaised in that case)

I've never been followed for any long distance/number of turns so I don't really care. For those who think they are they can easily mount a camera and have it record away.

Not if it's catch and release.Actually I believe it's illegal on all waters. Sure it might seem friendly of them to "catch you in the act" and then let you go but the fact that they followed you until you DID screw up is illegal in itself.

How bout if we started following them? (even if it is no use) but if they do pull over and try to pull us over, what can they do? the most would be them asking us why we were following them. That could be fun to follow them.Did that just the other week. Followed the cop Tahoe from the Old B to Playmekrs to Bucks, then down 13th to Mr. G's. He just kept going slower and slower after we went under I-29. Waited in my truck about two minutes after I got in the parking lot at Mr.G's, then went inside. It got pretty boring when he started slowing down.
