just be carefull when ur driving there, try to avoid the bridges

          Minnesota: Home of 10,000 lakes, 350,000 fishermen, 100000000000000000 mosquitoes.........and 8 fish.

Don't believe me? Go to Devils Lake/Sakakawea some winter and count all the Minnesota license plates....or go to the Rugby area during Goose/Deer season and do the same. Apparently all those lakes ain't doing shit for you.

I'd like to see you try and count the number of ND plates on I94 heading down to the cities on a Friday afternoon/evening.

That being said, MN blows. It is the fucking nanny state. The Peoples Republik of Minnesota.

And all the REAL fishermen/hunters go to north/northeast/central MN. About the only wild game that ND excels in over MN is Pheasant. My dad and I caught 36 Walleye in 4 days in MN this last June. As for deer...haha...I don't think you'd even want to go there.

Which is why I have people from the Mille Lacs area that come to ND to deer hunt instead of hunting closer to home? Which is why one of the guys in that group just spent $500,000 for hunting land from my dad (deer hunting land, zero Pheasant there....and I mean ZERO.) I've been deer hunting in MN before (Northeast of Roseau and East of Warroad), and found it to be nothing super-special. I can usually fill my 3-4 deer tags in the first 3 hours of the season....and thats if I'm being super picky about the deer I want.

Lets see, on my friends land in MN I got my deer a couple years back in all of 30 mins...when I go west of fergus there's hundreds of them. And fishing wise, it's prob just a change on scenery...our walleye lakes > yours. Also, for bowfishing, what i'm into I dont see many people in ND even doing that. As for people going outa state for fishing...I probably see over 100 ND trucks with boats drive by my house every weekend in the summer going out to fish...If your fishing was so great all the people wouldnt pay the crazy high prices of MN non-resident fishing licenses to go here. You guys also have higher limits and better seasons for duck/goose hunting, like the spring snow goose season

Yeah, we kinda like it that way. I keeps most of the riff raff out.

When it comes to hunting I'll take ND over MN anyday. Not necessarily for the better hunting or larger amount of game but for the fact that ND isn't notorious for hunters getting shot out of there "tree" stands during "deer" hunting season or for getting killed because some genius decided it would be smart to take a "sound" shot into some bushes.

To sum things up though. Fargo walmart = good, Dilworth walmart = sucks ass.
                        So ND>MN, end of discussion.

No, was basing it on the fact that these guys hunt MN and have all their lives....and they (there are more than 2....closer to 20 or so last year) feel that they have a better hunting experience in central ND than they did in MN. I'm not saying all of ND is good for hunting deer, because obviously it isn't (too flat in eastern ND and a severe shortage of trees and lakes)....just stating that if I were going to hunt deer, I would take ND over MN. In this same area, there are LOTS of people (don't know the numbers off hand) that have moved there from Wisconsin for hunting/fishing as well....these are people that for years have hunted WI/MN before they realized what they were missing (their words, not mine)

MN>ND for the sole fact Deer hunting and perch fishing are not our greatest assets.:D

Minneapolis, St Paul are not all that great but sure as hell beats anthing ND has to offer.
