Setting Base Timing

when i got tuned i think my base timing might have been a little off, and now i wanna set it right but wanna know if its going to throw off my tune. so what all i would i be throwing off if i reset my base timing?

it shouldn't change anything with the tune itself. You will be advancing or retarding the timing all around by changing the base timing

well so if base timing was retarded say 5* to far and they tuned for it and then i advance back where it should be wouldnt i be advancing the timing 5* all across the board?

Re-adjust the base timing and change the timing in the tune.

Didn't they set your timing right when they put it on the dyno?? When i did the sol they did it before we started tuning.

You would think so. The easiest way to tell is just throw a timing light on there and see what it is at.

Stop watch + enough gas to get to GFAFB and back to Fargo = Base Timing.:D
