    step 1: Remove Vista.
step 2: Enjoy a decently fast computer again.
    or
step 1: fix sound driver(aka check downloads on microsoft)
step 2: upgrade to as much ram as you can

    PM me for:
    Sandblasting(I use glass beads)
    Diesel repairs or performance products.

Yup. Dell.com enter your service code (located on a label on your computer) it will give you options to download the drivers.

Weird, we just upgraded Jolien's pc to Vista Ultimate and it runs better than it ever has....1 Gig RAM.

I'd suggest a wipe of the HD for those who bought their PC's w/ Vista and then a full reinstall.

                        Vista's worked fine for me...

having between 1-2gb ram and a faster video card + processor helps.... but think about this... how well did XP run on older 98 machines and such?

try running services.msc and shut off crap that you don't need running in the background?
