snowshoeing is surprisingly fun, good workout too.
Theres a track-like wheel you can get on your bike that lets it ride through the snow... seen a couple come through Scheels.
We rent snowboards, skis (downhill and crosscountry), and snowshoes at Scheels. $15 for the first day. If you get it in the evening, use it the next day and bring it back before noon the third day you only are charged 1 day. /sales pitch
finding a whale of a wash or similar and cleaning your car can get fun.

How about slotcar racing at the moorhead center mall. It is cheap and lots of fun. Check it out. They are getting a new big track in feb.
