I'm looking for a smaller fish tank. 10 is too small and 55 is too big - something around 20-30 would work best. I'm not looking for anything fancy, and I can re-seal it if I need to. LMK.

I have a 30 gallon long (not very common) in good shape. What are you looking to put in your tank? I have some other nice stuff for it too, heaters filters, good drift wood and really nice rocks.

What are the dimensions? It would just be for some larger Comets and a few guppies that I'm trying to breed as food for when my new turtle gets big enough for them. I'd probably need the heater, but what kind of filter do you have? I have a couple I could use, but I might just leave them in my 10gal frog tank if yours would work better.

I don't know what the dimensions are, I do know it is 36 inches long, 12-4 inches wide and 24 inches tall I beleive.

If you could get the dimensions and the type of filter, that would be great. That almost sounds more like a 40 breeder than a 30 long. I dunno if I have enough room for another tank that big.

A 30 long is as long as three ten gallons put together but the same width and hieght ussually.

What you need is a 20 or 29 gallon tank, watch the petco ads, they sometimes have $1 per gallon deals and I believe the recent add had tanks and stands 10% off or something like that!

Thanks for the info. I've been hoping to see a sale like that for a while now, but I haven't seen any so far. The tank is going to be on the middle shelf of my homemade 40 breeder stand, so I only have so much room to work with. Maybe I'll just keep checking the ads and craigslist.

I don't suppose you have any more extra equipment laying around? Maybe an old canister filter?

Hey Amicheze, Petco had some 20 gallon kits with everything for $39.99 on sale the other day when I was there, now that is a steal! Otherwise if you hurry and check, I know I had some 14 gallon kits on sale at the dilworth walmart for $39.96. But that sale ends today I think!

Good luck, glad I could help!

No canister filters sorry! Although I do have a website that you can join with some local fargo fish enthusiast's if you would like. It is: http://northernlightsaquatics.com/forum/index.php
Check that out if you want, there are a few people that may have something that you need possibly!
