Postwhore, or "post whore" is a term used widespread on internet forums to describe a person who measures seniority in a community by one's numerical postcount.
Often confused with "attention whore", a postwhore is marked by one's belief in postcount as a caliber of rank.
Used widespread on internet message boards, the conjunction of the two words: "post" & "whore" was established to define what is a postwhore, as we know it.
a) A postwhore is not necessarily an attention whore.
b) The postwhores here will only accept you into the community after you have reached 1000 in postcount.

Someone who posts on an online forum just for the sake of posting. He or she doesn't have to have any relevant or complete thought to post. As long as the post count goes up, he or she is happy.
A good intentioned person who uses a forum for real time conversations instead of using IM, texting or a phone! post word count are sometimes limited to one or two words and in extreme cases an acronym (ROTFLMAO) or, the most extreme, is just a smiley face.
Man, Bebo has achieved 12,000 posts in the short time he has been a member on the forum! he is the only non-paying premium member!!! what a post whore!!!
