    0/5 now.

They shipped the wrong fucking hood AGAIN after 2+ nasty phone calls, and multiple PMs stating exactly what I want, even showing pics.

The hood that showed up today was in good shape. But for a S13 silvia.

    PM me for:
    Sandblasting(I use glass beads)
    Diesel repairs or performance products.

Oh, and when i did shred a timing belt on my car on the way to the cities, I had the car back on the road in 2 hrs after finding the parts and changing it on the side of the road.

Ok but timing belt VS transmission. Apples to Oranges my friend.

CF is for ricers. I do know where i can find a finished fiberglass one tho. Pretty sure he has a deck lid too. The plastic bumper covers are another story but I did manage to find a rear one for $25 within 300 miles. Also the parts in general are so much easier to find, Faber mentioned plugs. Every brand that I carry, I have in stock for my car, all 7 brands. Plus the price is usually much better. IDK about you guys but if I'm gonna have a car that is a little older, mine is 20 this year, I want the peace of mind that if shit happens, adn it always does, its not going to cost me an arm and a leg to fix, and its not going to take a week to get the parts. My tranny shit out just outside of Carrington a couple of months ago, I limped it to Minot on Friday night. Monday was a holiday, got a tranny on Tuesday for $250, put it in Wednesday, and was back to work on Thursday morning I missed one day of work. What if I drove a Celica?

I have a VIS hood on my accord. For the first year and a half or so it stayed in excellent shape, I made sure and polished and waxed it good when I washed the car but it got cloudy in the middle of the hood anyways, almost looked like a somebody scratched it up with steel wool or something, but it was under the surface. I tried everything to buff it out but nothing seemed to work so I ended up painting it Krylon ultra flat black. Plus, it has no warranty to speak of except the usual manufacturing defect warranty. Seibon on the other hand I personally haven't heard anything bad, I think they use the dry carbon method of manufacturing which is far better than the old wet method.

Correct me if I'm wrong but, doesnt Siebon make some of the CF for VIS? I thought I heard that somewhere. Don't quote me on that.

And since when is carbon fiber rice, pretty sure they use it on some of the most high end sports cars made, and the majority of race cars... Ur just butt hurt that you can't get near the shit we can for our cars, cuz nobody cares about your shit box...

Trevor... I dont think I will ever forget your timing belt on the side of the road... or well most of that stuff this weekend, hopefully this year it can all go without problems, lol.

Wait a second there bubba, I was just going to let this one go, +1 for the ricers. Are you actually saying that there is a bigger aftermarket for your Honda here in the US then there is for a Fox body car like mine? I think your mouth got ahead of your brain on that one, think again scooter.

The cougar has more room Faber, remember I am not small. When I drive Shawn's car I can't shift without hitting the turn signal with my knee. Also, besides the body parts, 95% of those cars are interchangeable. For the body parts all of the thunderbird stuff will fit and I believe there were quite a few of those on all kinds of race tracks in the mid to late 80's.

To be fair, there is race-duty carbon fiber which is made in an autoclave (pressurized oven) and there is rice carbon fiber which is little more than fiberglass that looks blingy.

I have no idea what the process behind these specific hoods is, nor if shaving a few pounds off the hood is a legitimate performance mod on a car with a sunroof, headliner, interior, etc. Audi uses an aluminum hood on the V8 A6 because the weight distribution already sucks on that car.

The M3 and M6 have carbon fiber roofs -- highest point on the body and any weight reduction there decreases body roll significantly.

Note that I don't disagree with your general sentiment -- butthurt over a lame car with no aftermarket is probably what's in play here 🙂
