So, i got the head and everything off today. The belt and tensioner were in really good shape, but turns out that stupid balance shaft belt broke and got into the timing belt, slipping it about 6 teeth.
So, it needs all 8 intake valves and guides, they are all cracked. None of the exhaust valves were damaged so at least that is good
Also today i got all the emmissions stuff out of the car, ended up removing alot of stuff, some of you know what im talking about. Removed charcoal canister, all the vacuum lines, and EGR, associated solenoids and relays.
The rest of the week, and this weekend, i am going to do a complete cleanup of the engine bay, and paint the block and trans. Once the head is done, it along with the intake and all covers will be painted. Figured i might as well do the whole thing since i will be waiting for parts for a week or 2, and with spring break i wont have anything else to do anyway.

Just a little progress over the last week. The head will be done tomorrow or tuesday, thats all im waiting on. The last week i blasted the engine and bay, and jason painted the engine and trans. Then i finished removing everything that i didnt want in there, polished up everything i could reach under the hood. I even took all the fuse boxes and stuff loose and cleaned under them. New water pump, timing belt bearings, tensioner all installed. Just have to put the head back on to finish.
After that i started painting up all the little brackets and cleaning the engine parts. Intake is assembled, and yesterday Jason sprayed some black ceramic on the manifold and turbo, got that put together this morning. Anyway heres some pics!

got the car all back together tonight, gonna post up some pics and vids tomorrow, forgot my camera. All in all, it went very quick and smoothly, and looks simply bad-ass. The car runs great, still need to set the timing, just got it close, and top off the fluids. What i did
            New intake valves & seals
            New valve guides
painted most everything that came off
            fixed the broken manifold studs
removed all emmissions and extra worthless bracing
            new water pump
New tensioner, idlers and timing belt
            new accessory belts
            major cleanup
Also i have found no leaks so far, and i drove it about 5-6 miles. The car as a whole is great, lots of power, and turbo comes on really nice. I polished out all the black, top, spoilers and it shined up great and looks sweet. Hopefully i can get this thing cleaned and buffed out so i can sell it soon, so if your interested, its availible to drive if you would like. Anyway pics and vids to come tomorrow.

Heres some pics, the net is slow out here so im not gonna post up any vids. Got the timing set today and it runs really good. drove it about 30 miles today already and am going to go back out with it in a little bit. couple small things i need to adress, one of the brake backing plates on the rear is rubbing a little, its annoying. Also I think its hitting fuel cut already, in 3rd and 4th about 5k, it does a hard cut. Didnt think it would be that easy, it took alot to get to that point with the 92. Compression is really strong on all cyl, i think around 170-180, i already forgot the exact number.
Need to get an alignment and a set of tires on the 17's, shampoo the interior, and buff out the rest of the car and its done. None of the shops in town had the radiator hoses either, so those need to be changed someday. Aside from that, no real complaints! It goes straight, everything works, the cruise is smooth and theres no rattles or anything. Hope to get another 50 miles on it tonight so its good and broke in, then its getting cleaned and put up with a for sale sign on it.

Good work Gary, I was planning on doing something similar with a 96 FWD turbo I just cant find a shell for the drivetrain the shock towers on the turbo car are gone.
