I think it's got something to do with the mac users idea that their god/machine is somehow more secure than machine "x", when in all reality, security has nothing to do with it. it's just that nobody wants your failshops or chingy tracks, so nobody bothers. As for what exactly he did, he directed the judges to a webpage which I assume had some sort of script to transmit the data he needed to infiltrate the little magical turd, and he placed a file on the violated macinosh's hard drive proving that he had gained access.
