Supercharged 1988 Toyota MR2
-
$1500...cylinder #4's compression is 30psi (others tested at 140psi)...Car does not burn oil in excess. Could be anything from a burnt/bent valve to a bad piston ring. I don't have time to mess with it. Also, the car still is being driven daily and around 50-75 miles/week just fine. It can be driven to wherever it needs to go. It's just lacking some power obviously.
Name: Torbs
Car: 1988 Toyota MR2 S/C T-top
Title: Clear
Location: Fargo, ND
Price: $1500
Miles: 183k no grinds in transmisssion and clutch grips very well.
Color: dark blue with dark blue interior...seats are MINT
Recent maintenance: 3 years ago, t-belt/water pump replaced by previous owner (no papers...but the belt and pump look good)...Oil changed with Mobil 1 10w30 full synthetic and OEM toyota oil filter (100 ago). Mobil 1 75w90 full synthetic in transmission (1500 ago), OEM thermostat and OEM Toyota coolant (1500 ago).
Mods: 100% virgin besides aftermarket white 15" rims and k&n drop in. Not sure if the clutch is original. I'm guessing it's been replaced given how well it grips.
Mechanical problems: Slow leak out of the slave or clutch master cylinder...I have to top it off about every 4 weeks.
Interested parties that are SERIOUS can call/txt me...I'd prefer this instead of PM, but PM's are ok: 701-361-8658Problems to note: Typical 20 year old car...Has dents/dings. Rust in the rear 1/4s (not horrible...avg.). Passenger door's blue doesn't match the rest of the car's blue (it's not really that noticable unless you look...I'm just trying to be as clear as possible). Dash has a couple cracks. Could use a shift boot and a driver's side c-pillar. Also, window gear on the driver's side should be replaced (I have the gear, just need to put it in...window still goes up and down...just sounds like a few teeth are worn). Comes with original blue T-top interior covers. Worst thing about the car is that it was involved in a minor rear fender bender...The driver's side tail light, bumper, bumper cover, rear 1/4, and spoiler were all dinged...the rear 1/4 is salvagable and the rest of the parts are less than $200 all together. With labor I figure it'd cost around $600 to fix total.
Any questions feel free to call/txt me...PM only if you can't call/txt for some reason. Thanks!...Feel free to txt 24/7...please call from 1030am-midnight...I need some sleep lol. If I don't answer leave a message with your number and I will get back to you promptly.
