disc golf in fargo?
-
search oak grove school in fargo, its right east of it. its along the red river
-
nope. free
-
might not be the best but you really cant rule armour park. its a short course( 9 hoels) but one of the more fun ones ive played becuase its just kinda a relaxing walk and throw course.
the only one i really go to nowadays
-
Take Main ave East towards moorhead, turn left on 2nd Street and head north. Turn Right on 6th Ave and follow that road until you can't go anymore. You'll run right into the park. The start to disc golf is down by the football feild (on your left as your driving in).

whats the course like?oak grove has a shit ton of trees and if youre not careful sometimes you can get in the river. its a great course for people who dont suck

Woodlawn is by far my favorite course, longer then the other 2 previously mentioned and more fun in my opinion 2
-
im just closer to armour park by far so i really dont wanna drive all the way down to oak. if youre in town for and looking for a great course id also suggest going to oak grove.
i just didnt want you to think that was the only other one out there
-
also horace has a VERY small 9 hole course. It's really technical and confusing on where to go the first time around. There is another 9 hole called Iwen at the corner of university and 52nd ave. south. just south of university. fun and alot of trees. kinda shitty terrain because if floods so easily

depending on where youre coming from DL has a nice course worht makin a stop at just FYI

I like a challenge.I doubt very much that you 3 all the par 5's at woodlawn. hole 7 is 410 feet with trees at the optimal flex glide section and is a 90% 3 hole, but both 9 and 18 are not. I'd be willing to bet you can only 3 hole 9 30% or less, and 3 hole 18 at 15% or less. If you were good enough to 3 those holes easily I'd know who you were, and I don't.
Courses: Oak grove: Fun moderately technical course, some trees but with many lanes, no tunnel shots. Water seriously in play on 2 holes, moderately on a second 2. poorly designed tee boxes and poorly labeled alternates. Tournement play is 18 par 3's good players shoot around -5 or -6. The tournament/league record is -16 held by darrel Nodland (sp?) the alternate tee record is held by me @ -15
Woodlawn: Open. Really open. Ridiculously open. Average hole is ~260ft, and being so open, the wind is really a factor. 18 holes, played all par 3, 1 hole at 505 ft. and one at 515. If you can throw 300 ft with accuracy you should do well. in tournement play, all asphalt and across is out of bounds. (holes 1,2,3,6,7,18) and an average score is -3 on league night. good tournament scores are -7 to -10, I don't know what the record is, but my personal best is -14.
Iwin park: A nine hole course that is flooded 70% of the time, and is the most challenging course in fargo/moorhead. Most people don't like it. I helped with the design process and am quite proud of it. It's tough, lots of water, tunnel, blind shots. If you can shoot -3 your doing really well. I would suggest playing your round with someone whos played the course before.
^ these are all swamps if it rains heavily, woodlawn is your best bet if it's been raining, as it is still playable. Oak grove turns to mud. Iwin goes underwater.
Armour park: not worth your time if you don't have time to waste. this is a city designed park, no input from the local league/players. Everyone and there mother has a hole-in-one on this course.
There you go. If you feel like having a local to play with, shoot me a PM.
