i said i was bone stock. w00t.

Stage 4+ WRX > Stock STI
Stage 2 STI > Most EJ20 WRX's period.
Where the STI takes in is that nice drivetrain, however with tjamz hope to do a TC it will be interesting to see.
-
Not "hoping" to get a TC, its ordered. As is the valvebody from levelten. Now to just find a 2.2 from a turbo legacy.......
-
thats a shit load of shit just to be as fast as my car or a lil faster. u gonna race on the 20th chuck cause thats when i am.
-
Lots of money put in that wrx tjamz. Well if you got a passion, you got a passion. I'm just losing it

You guys should definately race. I beat a stock sti a couple times way back in grand forks when all I had was an MBC and TBE. But then again, he had no idea how to drive so not much to brag on that one.

Umm...If I go 2.2 litre it ain't gonna be to be faster than you. No offense. The reason I want a 2.2 is to stroke it to 2.7 and drop a T66 in it, then mate it w/ an Easy Street auto trans. Theoretically that motor should make well over 700 HP @ the wheels w/ spray. IF I go that route, it's gonna be to get to Dave/Ethan speeds. NOTE: I am not saying for sure that this is the route I'll go, its just a possibility.
Its not really a shit load of money in either: $950 for the Turbo, 1200 for the FMIC, 950 for the UTEC, 200 up-pipe, 275 downpipe, 300 Blitz SBC-ID, 350 for the exhaust, 400 for the Torque Convertor, 450 for the valve body, $250 for the CAI, 100 for the Fuel Pump, 175 for the BOV. Thats just $5600 in my current setup plus the cost of the car 23,750 = $29350. Not bad considering a comparably equipped STi would have cost me 33,460 to get the same creature comforts (security, armrest extension, block heater, etc..). All you have me beat on is suspension really. Add 250 for hotchkis swaybars, 1600 for coilovers, 2500 for a big brake system and I'm still under the cost of an STi.
Now don't get me wrong, I love the STi as much as the next guy, I just think I can do better for less $$

August 21 is the Autovations show in Mpls. I will TRY and make it to the track on the 20th but I make no guarantees, I have already reserved a room that night in Mpls and have sent off my registration for autovations. And for those that were wondering, this is not an excuse not to race, check for my earlier post(s) about autovations before this question was asked.
-
liar its an excuse.
jk yea if u cant make it that day, we can always do it on an rural country road. what is autovations by the way?
-
Autovations is a big car show in the cities put on by all 28 shops. I've never been there, but it should be fun from what I'm told.
Yeah, a country road is fine by me
-
28 is a lil more then our 3
-
Three? SLS, Tintmasters, Type-R, RoadSounds, Autowerks, Team. Thats 6. Granted not all of those shops are capable of doing motorswaps, but propulshun is a parts only shop that does ZERO installs, and they count in Mpls, I'd think those others count here.
