True proof that the Torberts of the world put high quality places out of business.

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

Nopi Motorsports also cancelled the second half of the drag race season this year as well due to financial hardship. Give it a few more years and all the big name companies will be gone.

There will be new companies that will replace those that are gone. That sucks, but thats the way things work.

not necassarily. those were HUGE companies in the tuning world. itd take alot for one of the smaller companies to tak their place.

+1 (not only the NOPI drag race season, but their complete show series as well....which is insane and a multi-million dollar series)

We are slowly seeing all the major manufacturers get dumped by major distributors (hence the Apexi blowout thread we had a few weeks ago, as apexi was dumped by one of the major usa distributors). As steel prices increase, as gas increases, as UPS rates increase, it forces major companies to raise prices. Add ontop of that, a struggling economy where people aren't buying near as much as 5 years ago, and we have big trouble for companies that sell our 'toys' vs. our 'necessities'.

Everything will probably be fine. Apexi declared bankruptcy a year ago and they are still here.

All of which contributes even more to our ever growing economy problems. It's all one vicious cycle. I forsee it getting much worse in the near future. Anybody on the sales end of the counter can see that. It's gonna really test the strength of alot of buisinesses both big and small.

Maybe this will make room for new companies to try their hand at producing and selling quality parts. That could lead to a lot of cool new stuff.
