              That was pretty crazy, but I would hope an cage would hold up to that... I've seen a srt jump a ditch and roll at 100, just a seatbelt on and the person walking away with just a puffy eye... I wish that youtube vid continued though instead of stopping when he looses it...

                  no traditional vehicle insurance policy will come anywhere near that situation 🙂

                  almost every policy these days has an exclusion saying that if the vehicle is on any event that is timed or if it is on any surface that is used for racing then it is not covered.

                  anyone driving their nice car at the track for a track day is taking a huge risk -- 99 times out of 100 they won't be covered if they mess up. many people that have a bad off lie about what happened and file a claim anyway.

                  when i decided to build a track car i started with a 20 year old BMW that I bought for $1200.

                  If you can't afford to push the car over a cliff and not be hurtin, don't take it to the track.

                    However, pretty sure the poster was joking about insurance.
