When I touch a $450 laptop I fell like its going to fall into 50 pieces and then get a virus and then have a fatal crash and then lose all my my work. Oh wait that's what happens.Has never happened to me. I must be doing it wrong.

i have had 3 different laptops, one i dropped and the other i dropped something on it. spent less than 500 on both, and they kicked ass.
now i have an HP and it does the job. why would you want something that A. cost more and B. does the same thing as anything else.
if you really wanna be different get the boot disk for Ubuntu or Fedora and see how you like it. best of all, its FREE. and you dont have to worry about spyware or virus protection.

I use Limewire to download music and have yet to have a virus problem.its not the music thatll give you a virus. its more along the lines of dirty asian porn.

My question is what do you guys use your computer for? I produce music and edit pictures and videos on my Mac. Windows just simply doesn't have the hardware that suits what i need. Mac is the only way to go for these things.

High-end Gaming, Business Software, CAD, minor video editing, etc.. I do on the PC. If I were doing more video editing/audio recording and or mixing, I'd look into a Mac more. Since I do none of these things regularly, I'll take the PC every time.
