Have you ever watched a BluRay movie on a nice 1080P TV w/ a good surround sound system? There's nothing like it, its amazing. I'd rather sit in my living room and watch movies instead of going to a movie theater any day.Netflix is awesome too. I don't have a 360 but that would be cool to have for this stuff. You can stream movies from Netflix on a computer also.
I think he was talking about data (like PS3 Games) on BluRay.
There's no denying the picture quality on BluRay / HD-DVD is awesome, however, its tough to justify the price (player, and the re-doing the movie library).
I have a 1080p TV, and I also have a homeserver that I store all of my divx files on that I stream through my 360, picture quality is decent and the convienece is more then worth it...

meh, 360 has a built in upconvert player. Thats enough for me. I watched bluray on my tv and noticed the difference, but not worth paying for the player and replacing my movie collection. I have not heard the difference, as I have no surround sound. Is the SQ really noticably different than a standard dvd? I need to get a damn surrond sound asap.

I like my HD-DVD player that I picked up for 40 bucks (360 add-on one). I can get movies off the internet for like 10 bucks each. I'll take that over blu-ray anyday even if I don't get new movies for it. The upconvert is good enough that I'm not spending 300 for a blu-ray player.
