Yup didn't get a 3.8gpa in highschool, didn't get a 29 on the ACT, and didn't get over $100k in Scholarships, damn I am dumb :icon_albino: You're the one working at a gas station right? Sorry I just don't like people questioning my intelligence. So what? You couldn't even pull off a 4.0. 29 on the ACT is nothing to shout about. I slept through half of the fucking test, didn't take any sort of prep class and got a 25. Whooptie fucking doo

Well I worked hard for that. That's good for you that you were able to not do anything and get an above average score. Now CMK would you pick Bush or Obama?
-
CMK would pick Bush...guaranteed.

Did I say he raised gas prices all by himself? No I didn't so shut it. I said he played a huge roll in it. If you don't believe it, so be it. It's pretty blatant. The only way he had any affect was due to deficit spending and borrowing from foreign entities...and that in itself did not lead to gas increases. However, by weakening the US dollar it sent investors scrambling to find a fairly secure commodity that was sought the world over...which lead to Oil and Gold prices sky rocketing.
Ok, that is the readers digest abridged version, but I hope most of you can fill in a few of the blanks and take it for what it is.

Good response..
Basically you can blame the booming 3rd world economies that are finally driving vehicles more. China played a huge role... I'm sure with them having the Summer Olympics played an even larger role in the peak of our oil barrels. Also investors play a role.. When the dollar is weak, foreign investors buy and wait for the dollar to gain strength & they sell it off.

I would like to be represented by someone who can speak well at the very least.

Congress, Cheif economist, Wall street, etc...blame them, they had most of the final decisions on things.

Like i said the only thing bush is good at is wasting money and getting people killed..
no one can prove that he's done any good.

Bush doesn't just say GO and the military goes. Congress has plenty of say in ordering the military around.

It is just uneducated people like you that just jump to blame the president about everything. The war he definately can be partly blamed for...the rest is a collabarative effort by our government.

36 is the maxmimum possible score on the ACT, or at least it was back in 1995 or whenever I took it. I'm assuming 37 was chosen as a joke for exactly that reason

There is a strong disconnect between intelligence and one's political preferences. There are lots of professional economists that will continue to politically support the nonsense economic policies of the left when their professional work and area of expertise shows these to all be losing propositions. People tend to decide their politics first and then warp reality to suit.
For most people, no matter how dumb or bright they are, its an emotional choice. Ayn Rand's Objectivism or something like lbertarianism comes the closest to an objective/rational analysis of governance, but even it relies on axiomatic foundations from which everything else follows.
I would vote for pretty much anyone over Obama. I voted Badnarik in 04 since ND was wrapped up for GWB anyway, but I was definitely glad to see 4 more years of GWB over a John Kerry presidency.
