United States Postal Service will have its first layoffs in history and will lay off 40,000 workers. Company officials said they don't understand why people aren't using the mail like they used to.

All 40,000 workers will be notified of the layoff by e-mail.

I know it was supposed to be a joke, but is the U.S. Postal Service really laying off 40,000 people?

Seems like all sorts of businesses are laying off people. I know DHL basically tanked and is cutting all operations.

Citigroups is cutting loose 50,000 employees.

Under Technology, Sun cuts over 6,000 jobs.

Crude is still dropping & recession fears are still rising..

          Yay!!! /end sarcasm
