So am going to be looking for some new front speakers and probably some tweeters why am at it.. reason why is because my front right speaker and tweeter blew awhile ago but i had a pioneer AVH-P6400cd player in my car which put out 200 watts and it sounded really nice and added some bass and you couldn't tell the speakers where blown unless the music was really low... Then i got this Jensen 7" VM9311 which only puts out 160 watts and you can tell the difference in sound and the speakers suck and its bugging me so i was just wondering if any of you know any good front speakers and tweeters that will go good along with the followingAlso am not looking to spend a lot as i just want the speakers to sound decent and am saving my money for a bike so any suggestions would be appreciated thanks
Jensen 7" VM9311
(Rear)Pioneer 6x9 4 way speakers that i haven't installed yet there in my Sunfire GtZapco I-Force speakers is the way I'd go for sure, best bang for the buck speaker I've ever heard. Do the 6x9's in the rear and whatever the OEM size is up front on your car (is this going in a Sunfire?)

Both DVD player manufacturers lied about their output. Neither is likely doing more than 60 watts RMS...and that is me being VERY generous (my guess is actually less than 30 watts w/ the pioneer and 15 watts w/ the Jensen).

Hmm alright well ya i will check out that website and no what i get will be going in my Dodge Stratus(piece of shit) cuz i will be driving that mainly... i was going to swap my back speakers and yank my pioneer 6x9s from my sunfire... ya idk thats just what they said cuz i guess they got like a built in mini amp. but idk am not the best with car audio with like speakers. i know about subs and so on but i never really cared for speakers.. tell now cuz there blown lol

Personally, I'd run zapco's front and rear in your car, you won't be disappointed.

They aren't....I have VERY competitive pricing with them. Give me the sizes you are looking for and I'll send you a PM w/ pricing.

and they come in pairs

btw, I think you were looking at reference/competition speakers at those prices. I can do a pair of I-Force 5.25 or 6.5 coax's and a pair of 6x9's for under $250 for the 2 pairs.

Hmm damn... alright well i think my stratus front speakers are 6 3/4 but not sure... But ya i could probably get a pair of 6.5" and the 6x9s... so am going to go home and check it out on my car... you wanna get a price for me and if i decide to i get paid this coming monday or thursday so i will look into it.. am saving to get a bike but i would like some decent sound outa my car

$240 for the 6.5 & 6x9 comboim new to interior speakers also, and am deffenatly looking for some 6X9's. i have never heard of zapco untill i came on here. so i guess they are pretty good from what everyone else is saying.
i have 6.5's in the doors and 6x9's in the back dash. $240 for both sets huh. that is a pretty good price. would it be feesable to hook these straight up to the deck or do i need an amp i would really rather not buy an amp cuz i cant afford all that. and same for the 6.5's, would that come as a componet set with the tweets and crossovers and would that be able to be connected straight to the deck. btw i have an older alpine 9851. let me know whats up. -
The speakers don't need to be amplified, but an amp will almost always make speakers sound better. The price that I quoted is not for component speakers, but is for coaxial speakers (tweeter & midrange in same chassis w/ tweeter centered over the cone of the mid). Add another $60 if you want component speakers up front instead of coaxials.

No point in having another set of tweeters in there, it will only detract from the overall sound.

At this time of year I do not stock them. I will need the money down prior to ordering, but I can usually have them in 3-5 business days.
