Japan and Korea are alot smaller... and its WAY easier for them to update thier infrastructure
Internet is also VERY cheap in Korea... Shit most people have faster broadband speeds on thier cell phones there then we do at home.

Still, thats pretty lame that we are so behind on the connection speeds, but I understand with how much smaller of an area the country is compared to ours.
