finally someone understands. and yes i know i stated earlier guys i know its zero tolerance. a chick there blew a .01 and got a minor. but the lower you blow the less likely you are to have to take classes and get raped with fines. you nailed it! you know what the cops tell you isnt always true. its always nice to know what you can and cant do. because when i got my minor in moorhead the judge said out loud that being i didnt blow high they didnt think i was binge drinking and didnt have to take classes. its always good to know everything you can about the law. and ive been in a lot of those situations too, one time they just told everyone to drive home, another time everyone got loud party tickets. a few times they have just said to keep it down. if any of these clowns paid attention in government they would know what im trying to say.

i read the 1st and last page of this thread and the only thing i can add is that judge davies fucked me on a "too fast for conditions" ticket that i contested. the law and the truth and all of the logical contradictions i got the cop to admit to during cross-examination didn't matter.

based on my experience that day, the best way to get a lenient sentence is to be guilty as hell but be a 16 year old girl that cries.

Not sure if it is true or not but I'd heard the reason he's so harsh on alcohol related offenses is because his daughter or someone close to him was killed by a drunk driver...

Could be a rumor, could be true, either way he doesn't take alcohol related offenses lightly.

while i was in court for my second minor he talked about that rumor and he said that he doesnt know how it got started or who started it but its not true. And that he has never had a freind or family member killed by a drunk driver but hes seen enough of it to where it bothers him. He just does not tolerate underage drinking. He just loves to throw the book at youngin's lol

good thing this is only my first minor in north dakota and my first as an adult then! and ya Minnesota was nice i wasnt 18 so i had to go to court but the other people just had to pay the ticket.

i got my minor in moorhead. i just had to pay a fine.

west fargo cops are hit miss. some will screw you every which way possible, and others will let it slide under certain circumstances.
