100+ Octane unleaded?
-
Or maybe we can each just buy a 55 gallon drum of C16 Sunoco or the unleaded 100 octane fuel and not worry about it.
-
C16 haha... how much is a drum?
Why not just go to automotive specialties in west fargo?
-
Not sure what the going price is on a drum, I know that automotive specialties told me they'd sell me a barrell at cost a while back (said I'd save a fair amount buying in bulk)
-
i'm going to assume that c16 would be $3-4 per gallon in bulk... that would make a 55gal drum $165-220. not a bad deal... except that you'd then need to purchase something to syphon it out. i'm not sure about this item, but i'd guess that you'd have some govt official knocking on your door to ask what you're going to do with all that fuel and where you plan to store it...
-
That's not too bad of a price at all (that was me posting above).
55 gallon's isn't THAT much fuel anyway... you could go in on it with a few buddies though and it would cost next to nothing for it.
If I remember correctly, when I went and bought race fuel (110 sunoco leaded) it was 3.30 a gallon
-
is vp the same price as sunoco? or are they just more willing with the stuff? i remember the first time that i stopped out at the track to ask questions, and some guy there was selling vp 105 (100? 110?) leaded fuel for like $4/gal. assuming that c16 is only available at $9/gal, xylene or toluene would be better unless someone is planning on running greater than a 40/60(gasoline) blend

I got the 93 octane in West Fargo on the BP on main past Dan's Oil. Last gas station by the fairgrounds. It was pretty cheap for only 2.19 a gallon. Thanks Troy for the information.........
