WTF happened to World War II America? The America where we didn't take any shit from anybody and if you got smart with us we just nuked your ass. The goverment has gotten so pussified over the past 60+ years it's ridiculous, "Oh, we can't do this or we can't do that, it might make somebody mad". Fuck that shit! If our goverment asserted itself on the rest of the world like it's doing to it's own citizens and they had just half the mentality of WWII America the Middle East would be a sheet of glass and our soldiers would home protecting our borders and be able to go home to there families.

/RantIt's called liberals (whom most of which would be on trial for being socialists back in those days)... they ruin everything...

unlike the old saying, "You can make some of the people happy all the time or you can make all the people happy some of time", they try to make all the people happy all of the time but it just makes most of the people even more pissed off than if they just did nothing.

Since that time we've had the following Republican Presidents spanning 32 years:
Dwight D. Eisenhower Jan 20, 1953 Jan 20, 1961
Richard M. Nixon Jan 20, 1969 Aug 9, 1974
Gerald R. Ford Aug 9, 1974 Jan 20, 1977
Ronald W. Reagan Jan 20, 1981 Jan 20, 1989
George Herbert Walker Bush Jan 20, 1989 Jan 20, 1993
George Walker Bush Jan 20, 2001 Jan 20, 2009We've also had 32 years of Democrat Presidents.
Seems to me that in the last 28 years we've had a majority of Republican control (all but 8 when Clinton was in office and not counting the month of Obama) and every year I hear about how we are getting more and more liberal/socialist/pussified.
WHERE THE FUCK IS THE REPUBLICAN LEADERSHIP ON THIS???????????
Admittedly the Dems had control of the house/senate for 40 years straight followed by 12 years of Republican control (1994 to 2006). But where were the Republicans at in making this country stronger during these years? It seems to me that there were just as many, if not more, liberal social programs during those years than any point before them. I'm not saying that the dems aren't a major reason for some of this, but they would NOT have been able to do this at any point without the help of other republicans...including Republican presidents.
That is the issue that pisses me off more than anything about republicans. They LOVE to spread the blame about social programs, but they sure don't have a great track record on voting against them either.
This is usually the point in the thread where everyone has stopped reading and just assumes I am on a liberal rant. I'm not. If I were the rancher in the story, I'd have done the same thing.
When Bush and the Republicans had control of the house/senate/whitehouse, what did they do to stop illegal immigration? NOTHING. AT ALL. Bunch of pussies!
A LOT of talk and no action.
That last sentence is why I have a hard time relating to the republican party.

in my lifetime i have seen the coming about of "political correctness" and it has seemed to infiltrate every aspect of society. It used to be that you didn't have children out of wedlock because of what everyone would say, now its not politically correct to say anything to anyone, and it seems that we have a ton more 1 parent births and children growing up without fathers than we used to. Same goes for any social issue as far as i can see it, everyone is so afraid to straight up tell someone that they are fucking up, so it just goes on and its okay.

You have every right in the world to have as many children as you want in/out of wedlock. As long as both parties are consenting/of legal age, there is nothing stopping them from doing so legally.
You also have the right to tell someone they are an idiot for doing so. No one is stopping you.

ah yes, and having 14 children is just a great idea when the rest of us are going to end up paying for them in the end.
I think is a sad thing when we will release repeat child sex offenders back on to our streets Chuck, thats fucking sad.

But yes, the dems (especially in California) have provided far too many "rights" to illegals.

Wait a minute...I never said they had the right for us to pay for them. Just that there is no law requiring a couple to marry before they have kids. I'm not in favor of having more kids to get a larger welfare check.
I agree on the sex offender portion as well, they should be shot. Period. But I fail to see where in the article or this discussion we were talking about sex offenders Heath... Now you're putting words into MY mouth that I certainly didn't say.

no, that what just part of the political correctness part, we are too goody goody as a society for someone to go up to one of these people and straight up tell them to get the fuck out of our community. Same thing goes for morbidly obese people, we've all seen them, the people that can barely walk. Now some of these cases are because of medical reasons yes, but some of them are plain laziness and gluttony, now if someone went up to that person and said, "you are way to goddamn fat" then they'd be alot less likey to sit there and eat MC'ds all day. Some sort of social accountability is what im saying.

no no no.....Groshong just wants to make sure that everyone has to pay a fare for their trial.
