I think it's funny that people think that one of the bills in the bill of rights is greater than another. 2nd Amendment people FREAK over anything that even slightly challenges this right (justifiably so), yet are perfectly ok with the fact that the gov't is basically recording every phone conversation that takes place in this country (patriot act); are illegally detaining citizens without a trial in places like Guantanamo Bay; routinely break international treaties on the treatment of military detainees (waterboarding); and a whole host of other ideas that have come to light under the Bush years that are either unconstitutional or illegal according to US or international law.
Here are just a few great examples of that:

Of course they are going to talk about it now...it's their job to respond to these things. I know that Schultz is a fan of it, and it stems from when he was selected to have his show broadcast to the troops in Iraq on the military radio channel (I forget the actual name of it) but somehow, the day it was supposed to be a go, they canceled his contract for undisclosed reasons. If ever there was a case that there should be both sides, I'd say it should be in a limited market such as that. Schultz feels that he was removed because he was critical of Bush. Whether that is true or not...who knows?

Schultz is a joke, he was there to debate and put forward his point. Instead, he acted like a 5 yr old girl (ask me how I know) and ran away. On the original thread about this I posted the video where Schultz was talking over other people in a similar type of debate, so the argument that he was being talked over is a joke. There are only two options:
- he's a crybaby
- he intentionally did it because he was on Fox.

Wait...I say that I think Schultz was justified in walking away and that makes me far left? I'd have said the same if Rush did it. I've said I'm NOT in favor of the fairness doctrine and that makes me a lefty? I've said I'm for LESS gov't spending and I'm a lefty? I point out things that the right has done to destroy the constitution and provide links and I'm a lefty socialist hell bent on destroying the constitution? I've said I'm all for gun owners rights (I have more "assault weapons" than most people including AK's, SKS's, AR-15's), but I openly ask where the limit on the 2nd amendment comes into play and I'm a lefty? I'm for a flat tax and i'm a lefty? I'm for lower taxes for everyone and I'm a left wing loon? I'm for gradual privatization of social security, and you think this is socialist somehow? I am pretty much pro-life (except in rare circumstances) and I'm too far left for you?
What I am in favor of, in this economic climate, is some form of stimulus from the gov't to help stave off a recession. Do I think that EVERY part of the latest package is good? FUCK NO! But I am willing to bet I can't find a single spending bill in washington that I'd agree with 100%, regardless of who proposed it. I'm in favor of trying NEW things instead of the same old shit (Sorry, tax cuts won't bring us out of this recession on their own). I'm in favor of regulation of industries, but not to the point of hindering them (I work in a heavily regulated industry, it HELPS my company by keeping the trunk slammers out who have no knowledge of what they are doing.)
