Mustang R 3.8 ???

So on my drive to work this morning, i get behind a red/orange Mustang. It has a badge on the back, a big red R above a 3.8 designation. Obviously it's a V6, but I'm guessing that there isn't really a Mustang R 3.8 made by ford, correct?
