The Moorhead Police Dept had a Stingray Vette a long time ago that was a D.A.R.E. car. They raced it at the track. It displayed all over the place to promote the D.A.R.E. program. It even was made into a matchbox car.

It did get totalled, I believe it was the summer of 1997 (4th of july maybe?) Chris Carey was responding to the riot over in Romkey. He came around a corner and hit a escort or something driven by a girl that I went to high school with. They got a crappy 94 Vette or something after, that I believe they still have.

I was outside the apartment where the riot started. I saw the bike go through the window and the little girl get shoved by the cop. That was a wild 4th.

Correct. They had another Corvette for awhile, and had an SSR the last time I saw.
