i would load test the battery. It may not be hanging on to enough charge. Also recheck all wiring because you may have a short somewhere...

Test the battery, clean the connections and make sure the grounds and main power cable are tight.

If it will start with manually engaging the starter, then probably a problem with your clutch switch or the wiring to your starter. Does the fuel pump prime?? Does the ignition turn on when in the run position??

with the starter off the engine it will engage so i know its not stucks, put it back in and tried to manually engage it and it just clicks and has like (hard to describe) a weird electricity "static" noise in the solenoid...

clutch switch isnt connectd and hasnt been since ive owned the car

fuel pump does prime and the ignition does turn on..

im thinking it may possibly be the battery... idk tho. i tried connecting the battery charger and set it to the "start" feature and i could tell the difference in how bright all the lights were but it still just clicks... all the lights, gauges, radio, and clock still go out tho. id just have to check the (+) wire, and the two black leads that go to the starter and fuse box correct?

I could be way off here...but it sounds to me like there may be a short in the path from the battery to the starter. When you go to start it, it might just be running power in a direct loop from the + to the ground. Yeah check those wires to make sure that isn't happening.

Check the power cable to the starter, and then check the tranny ground. I bet the ground is bad to the tranny. If you have good power to the starter, and a good ground, you should be able to at least manually engage the starter no problem.

well i checked the terminals, grounds, and fuses and they are all good..... found out something new tho, when i try manually engage the starter and itl just click and buzz but when i throw a wrench on the crank and turn it i can hear that the starter drive is sttill in the flywheel after a quick turn i can tell, feel that it pops back out... dont rly kno what that means... not enough battery power? the battery has a date of jun 05 on it so pretty sure thats due for replacement anyway

Did you have the starter off? Did it have shims that you didnt put back in?
If the starter gear is engaged without power to the solenoid then either the starter gear does not have proper mesh with the flexplate/flywheel or the starter spring is broke. It sounds like mesh is incorrect since it wont crank properly.

Try another fresh battery before you do anything else though.

i did have the starter off but put it back in... didnt have any shims to begin with... i just jumped the power to the spade connector in the car just to see if it would start manually... and that brings me to the whole starter gear going in... clicking cuz it possibly doesnt have enough power.. and then the gear staying messed with the flywheel
