FLOOD UPDATE: Fargo, Moorhead schools closed next week, other districts to likely follow suit
Moorhead Public Schools will close schools all next week. Fargo Public Schools expects to cancel school all next week, too, and other area school districts speculate they'll follow suit. -
I think that its starting its peak.
In stead of 2 tenths a foot per hour, its now down to like in the one hundredths of a foot range per hour. I'd be surprised if it hit anywhere above 42

A guy at work heard that there is a military rumor going around that they might evacuate Fargo, anyone else hear this?My brother works for the state as an electrical inspector. His boss is on some sort of state disaster board (not sure what it is called). That board had a meeting last night. Anyway his boss told him that if the dike shows any kind of weakness in the next couple of days, Fargo will be evacuated. They have a plan in place to close I-94 from Bismarck to Fargo, allowing people in Fargo to evacuate.

I was just down to Osgood and the drain down there is just at the top of its banks and there is a solid 3' of sandbags or Hesco Barriers along it yet.

I wasn't sure. What feet would we start to have to worry?well if no levees were in place you'd probably have water in the streets. I just don't forsee anything getting out of that drain down there and we're not going to get anything from the East. West Fargo sounds fine too - although if the diversion did spill it'd go west anyway.
I'm supposedly higher here and was to be dry at 41'.
