    Pulled the engine out and tore it down. I was missing the side piece to the apex seal (2nd half of a 2 piece apex seal). The little thing must have popped out when I put it together the first time.

          Well, engine wise everything is together and running strong. there is some exhaust coming through the v-band when the engine warms up to normal operating temp but that should be a quick fix. Last weekend I spent 6 hours fixing and bondoing the dents on the roof. All I have left to do is spray some surfacer sealer again, block it off and start applying primer, paint, and clear. I should get all this done this weekend. here are some pics with my progress.

            looking good!!! you putting the stockers back on before paint??? wouldnt want to get the new rims all dirty!

                          finally got it painted. here are some pics. there are some minor defects with the clear in some spots but nothing that a little sanding and buffing wont cure. the hood came out better than I thought it would. it killed me to sit and sand a perfectly good CF hood. 😞
