yeah thats what i was talking about torque curve's. you know a civic weight's like 2k lbs right?oh they also rev to like 9500 rpm, but never mind that
yeah and your point? just because its a v8 doesnt mean it cant rev high, now im not saying that a street driven DD v8 is going to rev rev to 9500, but they dont need to.

again i said i prefer 4 cyl.
again a v8 with boost = easy power.

cool beans
you know, we can argue all day long about what platform is better and what platform can do this but cant do this, but at the end of the day, its what you want, not other people. i will agree that 4 bangers can be fast, and iv ridden in some pretty fast ones. but on the flip side, v8's and other larger engines are notorious for torque and power alike. you may like 4cyl, i may like 8cyl, but the fact is, its what we like.
and then there are the people who like cars to be origional, like when bubba said he likes 7's with the wankle in them compared to the 8cyl, or people like my grandpa, who has a few old fords, A's and T's, who would never ever ever put or let someone put a v8 in one.
but the bottom line is, its what people prefer.
again, sorry bryant for the thread jack, hope your "tuning experience" comes out good.

Prefrence is one thing but a true enthusiat has an interest in all realms related. You are being very closed minded and the adding the typical stereotype in which creates the tension bewteen the realms.
Grow up and get over it, a car is a car and power is power each and every which way you look @ it.

lol at matt, like im some v8 humping mullet head. ive had 2 v6 cars, 2 dsms, 2 mustangs, a gto, 2 T/As, the v8 GN, and im bringing home another 6 cyl import this month. Oh, and ive never said this out loud, but i had a civic at one time, thats right. it was a black EF hatch with a B16, perfect paint, a CF lip, full tint, on 17" rims and 2" drop, so get over your honda loving bullshit. No one really gives a shit about your opinion that a "fwd b16 will smoke a v8 rx7" cause guess what, most of them actually handle better than stock since a little tq gives it some weight transfer. they generally have higher exit speeds and will pull huge lengths on the straights. "OMG a civic is only 2k lbs!!" yeah and it has 150hp, zacs car is 2600lbs and has a solid 500hp, do the math and open your eyes to something other than your tunnel vision honda bullshit

Now what can't you understand about that statment, i never mentioned every one ever made, i said most, as there just big huge engine in a striped rx7.
Yeah i said 500hp to 500hp um a civic with it's lighter weight doesn't need the torque of a v8. thats what i said. thats it.
Gary your seriously getting butt hurt because i like honda's . really dude you have used everyone of my posts out of context this whole time.
BTW, your avatar makes me laugh, how soon is "Coming Soon"? Its been what 3-4 years now will it be 4 more? is that soon or am i confused
i'm not the one with my car up for sale on ebay. Gary why can't you just argu your point without the insults? sense when is there a dead line on long term projects huh? i make sure to check in with you next time, i would hate to do it wrong....:icon_scratch:

matt, please show me any 500hp civc at all that will whoop this thing around a road courseWhat is it with people reading out of context today.....
i doubt a civic could hold it's own to a rx7 that is that built. i mean everyone knows rwd is better then fwd in the end for handling.
but there are times a civic will surprise alot of people. but like i said zac v8 rx7's that i have** SEEN** don't look like they would do well around a track.
here is a quick little civic and it is only on 8 psi and 260 hp.

granted FWD stuff does surprise people, me included............. i was just making a point thata v8 swap into an rx7 is far from pointless
and that a rwd platform does have more potential than a fwd one

Right, you realize that all parker has to do is put 17s and good tires on his and it will out auto-x most cars in the area right? im sure thats the huge v8 powered one you think wont handle
Yeah i said 500hp to 500hp um a civic with it's lighter weight doesn't need the torque of a v8. thats what i said. thats it.
But you seem to insist that it will be faster than a similarly weighted car that has double the tq?
Gary your seriously getting butt hurt because i like honda's . really dude you have used everyone of my posts out of context this whole time.
I dont give a shit what you like, but every thread seems to turn into you preaching about how some swapped civic is the hot shit over anything else! Its still a piece of shit civic, just like if i said a (as in one, if there is one out there) swapped cavalier that was fast and handled good was faster than a NSX, its still a POS cavalier so why bring it up all the time like a dumbass

SO, its wrong for me to sell a car that is complete to move on to another project to work on? If you ever finished anything you might realize you can sell them for a profit. You dont need to check in with me. You cant do something wrong when your never going to get it done in the first place
