Fargostreet Award @ P10 Show
-
Well who would have guessed 6 years ago, Fargostreet would have become a daily habit for most of us. Many of us would not know each other without it.
Beyond all the drama and usually bullshit associated with it, Fargostreet has led to a sense of community that would not have otherwise existed.
The P10 car show seemed appropriate to give away Fargostreet.com's first award! I've been communicating with Jason @ Tintmasters and the recipient will receive a trophy at the awards ceremony.
So in true Fargostreet style, what do you guys think the criteria should be for the judging of the award?
I've had suggestions of a ballots available to members to vote, cars active in the community (doesnt nesc. have to be on FS), cars that display specific characteristics, etc...
I would like to stray away from purely giving the award to standard judging characteristics given for most awards.
Let me know your suggestions and I'll see all of you there!

I like the idea of a ballot that can be dl'ed from fargostreet for fargostreet participants to vote with....of course, ballot box stuffing becomes an issue with that. How about on the day of the show, you set up a computer at the event that people can log on to Fargostreet on and vote (like a poll) one time. Make it a special section of the forum that is invisible normally (to discourage those who are not there from voting).
Another thought is to have everyone text their vote to a number and duplicate ph#'s would be discarded. Just vote on the car # and cut the voting 2 hours before the end of the show to have time to tabulate results. Just a thought

Jim, I can offer you a small spot with a table to display the trophy, and people could come to you and vote at the table.... It could be a 'vote from 7-9pm type of thing.Whatever you come up with, let me now and I will accommodate as best I can.

Yeah, that'd be great. I'll give you PM or call as it gets a bit closer and we'll figure it out.
Thanks
