That's not the third member, it's just the housing but nice bracing on it though. Wont be any flex there wil there. It's looking pretty UN-streetable to me. Cant wait to see the whole thing together with the parachute.

why are the axle housing ends not straight with each other? and you really should have welded the housing ends on after the rear brace was on. that way you would be able to use a jig to get the housing ends in a straight line across the rear....

Thats what I said when the housing showed up.... why are the ends on at different angles? It was built that way by a company that all they do is build rear ends (Matt knows the name of the company, I forget). I assumed there must have been a reason for it (the way the brakes attach?), but wtf do I know about assembling a Ford rear end.

That's the way it showed up. I ordered it cut to length and had axles/bearing/stud/retainers as part of the whole deal. I noticed that they did put one not quite right, but it shouldn't effect anything.

I agree, do you mind me asking who did it for you? Yes Dave it will only affect the way the brake will bolt on but it does seem a bit strange.....I would almost be half tempted to send it back so they could make it right...

I should say that everything else looks good so far...

More progress... the cage is in, and mostly tied to the new rear frame. A little more progress on the differential also, it should be on the car tonite hopefully. Yes, it's smokey in the garage from welding.

That's not a real wire mess, it's 99% stock wiring you're looking at, just completely exposed. I've had the front half of my Probe's interior almost that disassembled.
