Saying that driving a heavier car with smaller tires, less aero, and nearly as much power, is not as challenging is total bullshit.

No one said it wasn't challenging....in many ways it is more about being able to compensate for the shortfalls rather than actually racing however.

I don't know if I'd call the rules "shortfalls". :bom:

Nascar builders have rules they have to stay within, F1 builders have rules they have to stay within, WRC builders have rules they have to stay within, etc. Rules are typically made to make racing competitive, fun for the fans to watch, and to some degree affordable for the competitors. Not everyone wants to watch open wheel racing, and not everyone wants to watch door cars racing. Ah, the joy of diversity. lol

            My 2 cents.......

            NASCAR > F1.............but.........

MotoGP kicks the hell out of both of them........and......

Isle of Man > all of them put together.

            That is all.

I actually support and watch ALL of the fore mentioned forms of racing whenever I can. I follow both Nascar and F1 religiously and appreciate each one for what they are.

Maybe nascar would be better to watch if they had shorter races. They all just drive around for the first 1000 laps then start to race with 50 to go. The races are more about waiting for someone to crash to keep you from falling asleep while watching. And way too many cautions. I know safety is important but come on. And i get sick of hearing whats wrong with dale jr. Oh no dale jr. Heres whats wrong with dale jr. nothing. he is just not that good, pretty average really. Not a terrible driver, but not a champion. AVERAGE!

Ever think they'll make an F1 car that can withstand contact during a race and not have to DNF? They're like World of Outlaws of asphalt. It'd be nice if the cars could touch while competing for position and not detroy half of the car in the process.

There is sometimes contact during f1 races, it just depends on where the contact is made. Part of the challenge of racing openwheel cars is that you shouldn't make contact or you might dnf. Motorcycles don't constantly run into each other, just to much risk. If you need to smash into some one to pass them then maybe you should be in a demolition derby. Different styles of racing. To me rubbing isn't proper racing, its just smashing and crashing, but some people like that sort of thing, different strokes.

When drag racers start "swapping paint" then i'm sure F1 will follow. Since when is racing all about smashing into the guy you are trying to pass. If you can't over take him without hitting him then you have no business passing. Nascar has got you guys brainwashed. Rubbing is not racing no matter what Tom Cruise says. Come on. Two different styles of racing. When you drive a 3500lb. tank you can hit everyone and everything. When driving a 1300lb. rocket ship you can't. Need pictures drawn? Class dismissed! hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

NASCAR, the only racing where the drivers are as drunk as (or maybe should be as drunk as) the spectators....

There's no passing in demo derby. It isn't a race.

Bikes swap paint quite a bit in moto-x, I know I left a lot of knobby tracks on other guys, and had a few left on me as well.

I swapped paint a couple times roadracing, but in general it's not something you want to do much of unless you enjoy sliding down the track on your rear.

If it wasn't illegal to go into the other guys lane in drag racing, you know damn well I'd be over there swapping paint. I bet that spinning the other guy out by using the pit maneuver would be interesting with slicks and skinny's :icon_rabbit:

Kind of turning my comments around aren't you 2 wheeler? Motorcycles really don't want to run into each other do they? I love bike racing its something i want to do, but when is the last time you saw rossi smashing people out of the way. There is a time and place for every thing. F1 isn't the place where you want to make contact. It is a totally different style of racing. I agree f1 isn't for every one. But before just bashing it maybe give it a chance and see what its all about. And just a bunch of suits driving around pissing on each other. Thats just ignorance. Not trying to be a dick but thats what it is. I really wish people could discuss things on here with out it turning into a pissing match. Done talking about racing. "DRAGOOOOOOOOOO..."hey your right, Stallone quotes.
