That is correct. This is NOT a side by side 'race', if we decide that it even turns into a competition, it will be setup very similar to an auto-x time based ranking system. 1 car at a time, fastest car wins...Maybe a FWD/RWD/AWD/TRUCK classes.

Believe me, I want to do it! It is simply a matter of getting enough people that plan to come vs. saying they would come. I will put up a thread that is strictly a sign up sheet for people. Being there is life outside ice racing, I understand if everyone can't make all 6-8, but if people can commit to "I will for surely make 3 of these one way or another", then I will make it happen.

It will be whatever the weather brings, however plan mostly for ice. The base driving surface is water pumped from river (watch, twigs, sand, etc...). I think studs will be beneficial. Keep in mind we are a long ways from 15 people signed up on the other thread. I don't think this is going to happen....

How about tire chains, will those be allowed? And if need be I'll run both the truck and car to get vehicle count to 15.

I don't think chains would be an issue...I will ask next time I talk to him.

And of course the chains would be on the front of a rwd, I wouldn't want to be around someone spinning drive tires with chains.

Ive started this on an older set of tires...

I used 1'' long 1/4'' bolts I plan to use a inner tube inside the tire so it wont leak.. I will then cut down the bolt to 1/8- 1/4'' above the locking nut.

im sure its a 4 hour per tire process..

I also have some hankook iPikes if they dont turn out..

Come on guys tell me 2 good reason's why you wouldnt want to do this?

I thought about them also. But I dont have much tread and they would loosen up. Bolts are stronger..
