The real question is, how many people have PS3's that you know compared to Xbox 360's.

Anyway... back on topic.

Wii or Xbox 360 for the kids. I'd lean towards the Wii since they are younger. Accessories for the Wii are quite a bit cheaper as well, however, like 90% of the Wii games are absolute junk. You'll def. want to rent games before buying them.

A back catalog of a ton of different games, some not even nintendo! Plus, you have the entire GameCube lineup available as well...which I think really helps.

I think the Wii for older people is more of a party game and is more fun with numbers of people, but for kids its like ideal...
