snowmobile repair?
-
Anyone good at sled repair other than the dealer and universal repair. My sled is f'd up and I don't have a ton of cash to put in it. Runs good, but clutches have issues, eats belts like their going out of style and clanking noise is drive system.

I used to work on sleds alot, have done most everything over the years. Im betting your clutches are out of alignment, you could borrow/buy an alignment bar from the dealer, and shim the motor into alignement.
The clunking is probably a loose chain. There is a drain plug in the tunnel right under the driveshaft, drain the chaincase oil (or just pull the cover, and let the oil drain out into belly pan), than pull the cover off of the chaincase, and adjust the tensioner bolt till the chain is tight, with just a slight bit of play, put the cover back on and put in chaincase oil. Both are pretty easy jobs.

I'm sure it needs more work than that. pretty much put the last 4000 miles on it without doing more than adding gas and oil.
