Perhaps last year he may have posted volunteers wanted. We are expecting the 5th worst flood ever. So basically since 1997 they may have had to sand bag or build a wall 4 times. Not so bad...I think his flood wall is interesting and I actually manned the pumps one night last year. If you dont care about the flood wall or anything, dont read the thread or post. Simple huh...and yes the earth is round.

The Earth may be round but only by a very vague reckoning. Of course the Earth's surface has many abberations, mountains being an obvious example. But even if you normalized the surface features of the planet to a consistent height, the Earth is still aspherical. Infact, there is still a fair bit of debate on the actual shape of the earth.

I agree, joel bitches about the gaurd not helping him, yet last year the city told him they were going to dike off his area to SAVE the city. whats the point of bitching about the gaurd.

I was out of town for the flood last year. I shut the sewer gate valve before I left. Then the girl that was living with us came home earlier than she said she would, and showered and dropped ass in our house for about 3 days while we were gone. There was about a 2ft dia puddle around a drain grate in my basement. Then i opened the gate valve and my whole basement sound liked a flushing toilet.
No sandbags though. That was nice. We live in the zone of town where everyone else is supposed to go dry out if they get their shit ruined.
