Received my rims in the mail the other week. I am still trying to decided between a few brands of summer tires...

235/35/19 with 275/30/19 in the rear..

What would you personally recommend when keeping in mind "The most bang for your buck"/performance?

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSearchResults.jsp?frontWidth=235%2F&frontRatio=35&frontDiameter=19&rearWidth=275%2F&rearRatio=30&rearDiameter=19&x=37&y=4

I had my eyes set on the Hankooks but would like some insight before I make a 700+ dollar purchase on rubbers.

Thanks.

Are you going to lower your car at all? What rims did you get?

EDIT: Sorry didn't see this was in the TM section.

If you need $700+ in rubbers, you either have Tiger Woods syndrome, or large forearms...

Ok, but seriously, if I were in your shoes, I wouldn't look past the Falken FK452's. http://www.falkentire.com/Tires/FK-452-3

They are actually $20 cheaper (after shipping) than the Hankooks. ($738 vs $758 on the Hankooks)

No problem. Undecided yet. The car sits pretty low on stock sport suspension.. I will decide once they are mounted..

I went with Alufelgen's CSL reps, the SF-71. I was really apprehensive to smack Matte Black on my car, but I couldnt resist the Alpine White on black look. It seems to me that it sets the car of that much more. Very aggressive look IMO... The concavity of these rims=sex

Youre only a juvenile once, Ill save classy for 30 :p:
Perhaps a different look next spring.. We will see how I like it.
Heres a few shot of the rims...

Jason, the Hankook's are certainly tempting. I have heard from a performance stand point the Hankooks Ventus V12's are the way to go.

I am partial to the Hankook's just based on what I have heard from some Bimmer forms I am on. But then again, what do they know/I know.. haha, but really... I am about as ignorant as it gets when it comes to wheel set ups.

I havent heard much about the Falkens..
Thoughts?

Hope to get these rims/tires over to you guys shortly to slap em on..

Thanks

Tires are like motor oil...everyone has their 'thought' and once they have found one that suits them well, ZOMG ITS THE ONLY TIRE TO BUY!!!111!

Answer these questions, and I will give you my tire choice (we sell EVERY tire on the market, so there is no reason for me to push you any which way).

1. What kind of driving will the tire see? 95% DD 5% Track?
2. How long would you like your ~$700 tires to last?
3. How important is ride comfort?

1: 90% DD 5% fucking around on the street (being honest here) 5% track
2: 25k ish.. May be selling the tires/rims next spring.
3: Not extremely important.

The Hankooks should meet all of your interests, as would the FK452's.

The FK452's are designed to be good in pretty much any summer situation (rain, heat, minor track). It was designed to be a comfortable, high performance tire, and I have sold MANY sets locally with nothing be rave reviews. I recommend stuff that I know first hand is good, and the FK452's fit the bill.

Falken is a HUGE tire company, that has roots in racing. They aren't your run of the mill 'Nankang'.

Either tire will work for you, I would still recommend the FK452's, but can get either for you.

I have the FK452s on my 19s and will be going with the Hankooks next time around.

I love the way the FKs perform, but now that they have worn, they are fricken LOUD. My dad thought i had a wheel bearing going..
