well here ill give you the full scoop on what i know...chuck kept blowing his UICP off the turbo...got that fixed and then he blew out the bolt where the EGT probe goes...got a new bolt in there and then since he's still running stock plugs they finally gave out on him...final numbers come monday and im sure the full story will be available as well

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

OK wise-ass, here are the numbers as they came down:

        Total WHP 310*
        Total Torque 352*

*This was on 110 octane race fuel @ ~17.5psi. I would have run w/ more boost but my damn boost controller wouldn't hold boost above 18 psi for more than 1-2 seconds. Considering I normally run ~25psi at the track you can imagine that those numbers would have been significantly higher...and this was a fairly conservative tune, so all-in-all I'm happy. Spent 2 full days on the Dyno, Replaced my front driverside coilpack cuz it melted, replaced all the plugs w/ a set thats 2 steps colder. Total cost: $450.

went down there for a free tune and ending up spending a hair under $500...cheaper than a DSM

those are some good numbers...im actually kinda impressed with those...good job chuck..id love to see it at 25psi...too bad they couldnt just borrow you a boost controller for the dyno...oh well next time haha

chuck... how come you had to run 110 to run 17.5psi? or was that a "just to be safe" kinda deal?

thats the only gas he had left...he ran out of gas on his 92 or 93 tune...he had no choice to go to 110

Like Tony said it was all I had left.....and I didn't know my boost controller was gonna freak out on me until after I put in $45 worth of 110 octane.

I had 1 hour free, sat on the dyno for about 11 hours total. The actual cost of the dyno was $250...so about $25/hour. Can't complain too much.

oh yeah, much different, revs more smoothly, launches harder and gets better gas mileage 😄 I still have some timing to smoothen out on the daily drive part of it, but it feels more solid.
