let's see an h22 comes with about 185 hp and 159 lb-ft of torque, so with headers exhaust and everything else would be more than 200 whp wouldn't it? cause you know im just a stupid seventeen year old kid. if ur retarded then u would have taken that seriously!!

That wouldn't be enough to be considered fast or pretty fast in my book.I think you would have better luck with a lighter car with some sort of power adder or a car with a larger engine. it would easier to accomplish and easier on your wallet.

again let me remind you i am NOT paying for the car, my parents ARE. so it's not my money. if i had my first choice i would buy a newer honda or a scion tc, but i can't now can I?

15hp out of an exhaust and intake...holy shit how did u get that?? tell me tell me! ...or you could find a car with a sohc d16 (ex. harwood's motor in his car) and boost it for the price of a swap and get 240ish hp out of it...i say go that route...btw, how much is this accord tim? pm me if ya wanna chat bout a car sometime, ill try my best to put you into the right direction...i know that your rents are buyin it and you are glad to get anything, but i can try to find somthin for ya in the same price range that'd be sweeter than an accord lx (in my book anyway)...so yeah, just let me know...peace

dude my parents have like 95% of the say all i can do is say for example "oh it's auto i don't want it" and that's all i can say, cause all the others cars we looked at have been a lexus, an acura, and a few other hondas, and the only reason my parents didn't say yes to that is cause they're auto. oh and they don't want me doin anything and i mean anything to it at all, so they won't buy me a car that u would suggest torbot cause they'll call it a " little hot rod"

Take a car that looks nice with a nice interior and has a nice ride. Use that car as your daily driver/beater car. Get a job, buy your own little hot rod. -
oh torbot, can you tell heath that he still owes me $100 for my ps2? thanks.

i do have a job and i only make 5.50 an hour and work like 20 hours a week, and i have a cell phone bill then insurance and gas, so do the math and you'll see it'll take me a long, long time to get a little hot rod.

Work harder/more. Expensive toys aren't just given to you, unless you can get your parents to buy them. -
I wouldn't even worry about doing anything performance-wise to the Accord because it sounds like from your situation you can't get anything that we might suggest. Just keep the car until you move out and sell it and get get something a little more decent.
My suggestion would be to get a DSM becuase they are right in your price range it seems if you're getting an Accord.

I dont think anything we tell you will make you happy...

dsm may be in his pricerange, but, no offense tim...an audi held up for 2 weeks with your use (broke motor mounts...and then some)...i think a dsm might hold up for 1, maybe 2 hours...so tim, plz. dont take offense to this, but get an auto, i think it'll last you longer...some auto's arent that bad...an auto fwd dsm wouldnt be too bad, its not awd so no worrying about those components...and the 4g63 is a very torqey motor for being only 4 cylinders (helps with auto tranny)...and you can tell your rents that it's stock, but u did just spend 45 bux on a MBC and now you are a bit faster (dont go past 15psi with stock pump/injectors though heh)...another option could be a conquest/starion too, but they'd suck for winter cause rwd...but anywho, good luck...peace

get an exhaust cut-out http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1160285
the fart can is going to be the biggest signal that you've done anything to your car - besides, this is a lot cheaper -
I think at this point I'd let them get you whatever they want to and then leave it alone. Save up your cash for something better when you can afford to do so. Having a 5spd will make the car fun enough for now. Unless your parents are/were car nuts at some point they'll never understand the need to tinker and mod. They'll see it as a waste of money. Which it is but so is any other hobby. Anyway, an Accord will prove to be a good reliable car which at this point is probably the most important deal. You'll save cash on repairs and gas which you can later put towards a better project car.
