what gaming system

Kids want new gaming system. I have no clue where to start. I am still forcing them to use PS1. They want the Gamecube. What else is out there that is good/better and why??? I do not think they want to wait for the 360.

I would get them a xbox, game cubes are "made" for kids but just don't have that many good titles.

Then again they are kids, and game cubes are cheap right now. Get them a cube.

gamecube has only "cartoony" games....which is fun for about an hour.

gamecubes dont only have 'cartoony' games. resident evil 4 just came out on gamecube only and its far from 'cartoony'

if you want to go by quality of the system... ps2<xbox<cube
games on the other hand... cube</=xbox<ps2
the cube has some great abilities, but there aren't many games available to really tax the cube yet, and not many fun games. the xbox has better graphics than the ps2, but the games are a bit less desirable than the ps2.
that's my take on things...

i say xbox or you can wait till this christmas and be the best parent and buy them the new xbox 360 either way i'd go xbox they got a plethera of awsome games and great graphics plus you can mod it

That honestly sums it up.

Each console has it's own game but PS2 does come out on top.

i think xbox reigns over ps2 personally the games on xbox seem to have a higher replay value on all there titles vs. all the ps2 games i have, have low replay value but are good once ya know... i dunno i just love xbox way better now that i own one,, i used to be a ps2 guy but no more
