It would be an all right motor. Not too bad for about $500. Considering your driving record, I think the last thing that would get noticed would be a previous generation motor in your car.

I don't know why you would waste the money on that motor? Figure another $300 for shipping, then your motor isn't so cheap anymore, that's almost half of a decent turbo kit. If anything, buy another D16, they're very cheap.

personally if your gonna stay sohc, i'd just get another d16z6 those are the best of the sohc engines.

D16Z6 is the best Sohc Honda ever built. If you want Dohc, you might as well find a B18C1, at least.

maybe do a little looking and see if you can find a b18a/b swap? they're pretty inexpensive and will give you much more power... as well as a better platform

if your gonna stay with a sohc motor, the cheapest thing to do would be to rebuild the one you have and mabe throw some performance parts in there. my guess is that your motor just needs a valve adjustment and it'll stop ticking. i wouldn't order any d series motor because you can easily find used ones in this area for a lot cheaper.

not yet, i can't drive my car. i'm thinking of taking it somewhere on monday to get it looked at.
