I'd like to see a count of transmissions per car over their lifetime @ the track.
And as a note, any DSM work, please do not call Roadsounds. Hondas yes, DSMs to SLS.

i used to agree w/ everyone here..........everyone told me to bring my car to sls so i did..................................my car never got done so i went in almost everyday for the past 2 weeks and complained and then nick complains he is sick of me complaining and comming in bitching about it.......but my car still is not done so isnt it your problem that i come in bitching and complaining every fucking day.....plus he pushes my car outside....and still has my plug wires, battery, downpipe, and tranny sitting in his shop...and who knows what else............
......so if you want fast.....better learn how to suck dick first before you go to SLS.......or you can TRY to make a friendship with them...because thats obviously how it works...
....I thought you were supposed to treat a customers car like your own car....but i guess i was wrong...... for those of you who had seen my car before..it was white right??? well go check it out now...it will have to be detailed for sure just to get all the powdercoating overspray off of it and all the other shit on it....

oh and out of the top 5 cars there.....which ones did kevin build and which ones did nick build? .....can leave troys car out because he did his work.

I think Nick has built more fast cars than Kevin. Back to your car, yes it didnt quite work out the way it was supposed to. But who knows, trying to threating lawsuits and stuff like that isnt going to make the situation better. Didnt you oil line crack and that is how the first engine swap went bad? you didnt have an oil cooler, you didnt notice any smoke?

there was no smoke..........if you have to threaten for anything to even happen w/ the car....there is a prpblem there.......my motor came out after it had been sitting for 3 months!!!! don't you usually contact the owner of the car and tell him what is going on w/ the car???? maybe i'm wrong..........when my car got broken into...they didnt even call me........i came in there looked at my car notice everything was gone...and walked out.....they still didnt tell me......so i walked back in there and said did you take my stuff out ...............they said nope and thats it!!!! Everything about the car...i have to ask 100 times....and after you ask that many times its complaining and bitching...which is wrong in the business world i guess..........I even bet my life that my engine wouldnt be there when nick said it was supposed to....you think it showed up then....nope sure didnt....

There is still NO EXCUSE for it to take 6 months to get a motor for my car.......when my motor does come.....has no manifold or turbo....now what....i get to pay more money than i ALREADY paid to get those parts.........i payed for a COMPLETE swap...not a oh heres a motor but its missing some parts start handing over some more cash....now you do whatever you want to do w/ it becuase i'm sick of dealing with you..........
ITS your problem that you have to deal with me....its called running a business...is it not??????? i came to STRAIGHTLINE SPECIALTIES for the motor swap so therefore you have to deal with me until the car is done....or else you refund the money...simple as that

How bout you keep this thread on topic now......1 bad experience and many good ones at SLS. I am sure the same thing has happened (such as bad experiences) at Tintmasters, Autowerx, Roadsounds etc.....
I have had friends take there stuff to tintmasters and are happy with there service. So MWC1 take your car there then, I am sure they will provide you with good service.

as of right now i have everything w/ my car under control besides getting the rest of my parts like battery, tranny, downpipe..ect..
i dont think SlowGST will mind

and everyone with bad experiences with SLS should reply to this thread also....i know there have been others...but they dont visit this forum often and some arent on this board.
SlowGST has already got the big picture....I grew up with him and he is a good friend of mine.

Alright i'll tell this story for everyone. John got a 6 bolt swap and for one reason or another the motor went bad, still unknown cause as we are not allowed to tear motors down or they will not warranty them. JDM 6 bolts motors have been getting slimmer and slimmer as far as availability. SO after roughly 2 months we received another motor under warranty that motor was locked up on arrival so that was sent back for another motor, none available. John decided he wants a motor from elsewhere so i offer to match the $1250 he paid for the motor from us being the motor he wants is coming from Canada w/ extensive shipping cost and totals to be roughly $1600. I tell him i'll orde this motor and put the $1250 towards it you pay the difference or we wait for the motor i will get under warranty for free and no charges. He does not want to do that and thinks i should foot the $1600. Well about a month later or so this latest motor arrives but does not come w/ turbo or exha manifold which is not uncommon some come w. them some dont, we've gotten motors w/o intake manifolds as well before. Well John decideds to make a huge issue over this and says he does not want the motor and just assumes we are going to install it w/o a turbo and exh manifold, obviously thats just ridiculous. I told him some motors come w/ all accessories some dont so he just assumes he's not going to have them. So he then requests i push his car outside so he can pick it up. I push the car outside, motor is in the other shop as well as some other parts not left inside the car. I arrive back @ the shop car is gone, he musta have picked it up. Come out of the shop few hours later car is back in my parking lot.
Point of the story you decided you did not want the motor and you wanted your car outside, so if you could please come pick up your parts and car.

Nick you told me to get the exhuast manifold and turbo myself from my old motor...
And i said if you dont get the parts for me then you should just push it outside and give me my $1250 back....
I did not say push the car outside i'm comming to get it..
